New knitting patterns added

Sock Yarn Left-over : How to use them. Part V

Bonjour   

Comment allez-vous en ce dimanche ? Par chez moi, le temps était magnifique, mais le vent du Nord, appelée communément “Bise” dans ma région, nous a vraiment refroidi. La sensation de froid étant si intense, que j’ai préféré rester bien au chaud, pelotonnée sous ma Honey Bee (enfin terminée, après de longues heures de crochet intensif )

Avec le solde de la laine, j’ai réalisé un mini Granny Mandala format napperon :

J’ai modifié les deux derniers rangs (2 mailles en l’air entre chaque groupe de 3 brides, et des doubles groupes de 3 brides sur chaque espace du rang précédent pour le dernier rang ) et la bordure finale (un rang de mailles serrées orné d’un picot au centre) pour que le napperon reste bien plat et ne roulotte pas:

Maintenant, revenons à nos moutons …

Je disais donc bien au chaud, j’en ai profité pour terminer ma Granny Tissue Box , deuxième du nom :

J’ai également tricoté quelques mailles, notamment en commençant une nouvelle paire de Prune Biscotti (modèle : Cranberry Biscotti Socks, on ne change pas le patron idéal pour utiliser les restes ) et cette fois-ci dans les tons prunes et gris, mais toujours avec des restes :

Bon je vous l’accorde, la photo n’est pas très brillante malgré le soleil éclatant, mais j’ai toujours autant de peine à saisir le rouge et toutes ses nuances .

Les Nymphea Socks sont terminées également. Des images prochainement!

Eh oui, si comme moi vous avez des zouzous qui laissent traîner leurs crayons de couleur partout, et ne les retrouvent jamais, voici l’idée sympa qui leur a bien plu et qui fonctionne assez bien, pour l’instant …. Et bien sûr, une idée pour utiliser des restes de laines!

Color Wheel Socks

Bonjour !

As promised, the Sock pattern for my Color Wheel Socks has been published in my Ravelry Store :

These socks are perfect to use Sock yarn left-over.

For the Small size I have used less than one 50 g skein for the main color  and about 3 m for each color band.

The color ripples are worked using slipping stitches in a Mosaic pattern, so only one color is worked for each round.

A fun and easy pattern to knit.

This pattern is a FREE pattern and can be downloaded.

Sock yarn left-over : how to use them. Part III

Bonjour !

Au vu des dernières journées grises et pluvieuses, je vous apporte un peu de vitamines et plein de couleur pour ensoleiller votre journée .

Les fruity biscotti terminées,

je n’ai pu m’empêcher de commencer une autre paire de chaussettes :

Color Wheel Socks

Tout d’abord un choix de 12 couleurs provenant de mes restes :

Un motif rigolo dit “Mosaic pattern” en français motif à maille glissées:

Le changement de couleur est tellement addictif, que j’ai attrapé le syndrome du one more row…... Mal m’en a pris, en terminant la première chaussette, j’ai constaté l’ampleur des dégâts :

2 fils à arrêter par changement de couleur, ce qui nous donne (23 X 2) + 2 fils de la couleur principale, pas mal pour quelqu’un qui n’aime pas, mais alors pas du tout , arrêter les fils!

Après quelques heures minutes, enfin un temps certain , le résultat :

Après cet exercice de haute voltige, j’ai repris mon livre favori et ai tout de suite appliqué la méthode de tissage des fils pour les arrêter pendant la phase de tricotage!

Le résultat final

La bordure est réalisée selon la méthode Latvian cast-on edge.

Le patron de ce modèle sera bientôt disponible gratuitement.

En attendant, et toujours dans l’idée de réduire mon stock de reste, une nouvelle paire sur les aiguilles, inspirée par mon Saint-paulia :

La bordure est également tricotée en utilisant la Latvian cast-on edge. Quand on aime on ne compte pas ! Et pour le motif principal, j’ai continué mon exploration des “Mosaic pattern:

Sock Yarn Left-over : Idea to use them. Part I

With the new year often comes news resolutions, but, I usually don’t take any resolutions, as it seems I never can follow them. But this year, I decided to stash down my sock left-over yarns, as I cannot keep the left-over box closed !

The January Sock Knitter Anonymous group  challenge is to knit a pair of sock using :

• Technique: Mosaic and/or slipped stitches or
• Designer: Janel Laidman or
• Mystery Sock designed by me

Of course as I designed the Mystery sock and already have knitted them, I have to chose between the technique and the designer.

Janel Laidman, has a lot of lovely patterns, but I don’t own any of her book, so the choice will be the technique.

After looking in the January thread of the SKA, I just see a lovely pattern :

Cranberry Biscotti Socks from Sweet Paprika Designs

I had already knitted them once in 2008, but using a self striping yarn and work the slip stitches part when there was a color change.

 

This time, I follow (quite) the pattern . Pick-up 3 differents yarns :

Cast-on 64 stitches and begin my fruity biscotti :

This was a try to have another heel, and I really like the wrong side.

Now the second one is already on the needles and quite finished.

And I’ll continue my search to find some pattern which use sock yarn left-over.

Azurine–Baikka–Leontine : Fingerless mittens knitting pattern

A few days ago, I just was talking about snow and Fingerless mittens. The snow has gone away but it is still frozing here and these are finished and patterns are published .

Now, just working on some socks in a shiny color, just to keep the bad weather out of my home:

For these, I just knit a lot of twisted stitches and I love them .

In the next days, I’ll cast-on for some sweaters, the yarn has arrived this morning in a lovely box!
